Description
Steam propulsion revolutionized transportation and was dominant for more than 100 years in both towing and passenger traffic. The "Hudson River Flyers" of the early twentieth century were among the fastest and finest river boats in the world. Join Mark Peckham, trustee and volunteer for the Hudson River Maritime Museum, for an informal talk about the development and demise of steamboats on the Hudson River.
This program is sponsored by the Historical Society of East Greenbush.
