Description

Coming-of-Age Drama 1983

The Outsiders is a classic coming-of-age film about the intense rivalry between two teen gangs in 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma: the poor, long-haired Greasers and the wealthy, privileged Socs (Socials). The story follows sensitive Greaser Ponyboy Curtis (C. Thomas Howell) and his best friend Johnny Cade (Ralph Macchio) after a violent encounter leads to a Soc's death, forcing them to go on the run and confronting themes of class, loyalty, identity, and lost innocence.
