Description

Enriching and Maintaining Your Soil for Rich and Abundant Gardens
How healthy were your plants this year? Did you have a robust harvest and beautiful large blossoms? Good soil produces good plants. But how do we enrich the soil that has seen decades of plants, years of weeding and tilling? In this workshop, you will be introduced to the Why and How of soil management and what to do right now!

Master Gardener, Jean Howard from the Cornell Cooperative Extension will provide the opportunity for attendees to have a basic soil test done (at Rensselaer County Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners office). She will bring `the forms to fill out, the cost is $2 and people should bring 2 tablespoons of soil from the area they want to be tested (in a clean baggie).

The Garden Club meeting begins at 6:00, program begins at 6:30.
