Description

Coming-of-Age, Period Drama

Eight young women from a Vassar-like College class of 1933 rush out into the world to find exciting lives, but discover nothing is quite as they dreamed. Based on the Mary McCarthy novel, the movie addresses women's issues that were not commonly discussed back in the 60's when the movie came out such as abuse, mental illness, contraception, pregnancy, and drugs.
