Description
You may have seen criss-cross stitches on expensive jeans in the stores and on social media. You can do it, too! Sashiko is a traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique that translates to "little stabs". It is traditionally used to reinforce and mend worn clothing and textiles using simple running stitches.
All necessary supplies will be provided, however attendees are welcomed to bring their own hand sewing essentials to practice with (optional).
Sarah Collen of the Troy Sew Shop will lead this workshop. Sarah believes that mending becomes easier over time and can make a big impact on your life and on the planet. MiY: Mend-It-Yourself!
