VIVA LA VIDA! (LIVE LIFE) FRIDA KAHLO WORKSHOP
It's Hispanic Heritage Month! Celebrate the art of Mexico’s most famous female artist -- Frida Kahlo. Learn about the artistic and personal lives that Frida Kahlo and Lee Krasner had in common. Both were women whose careers were eclipsed by the famous and powerful men that they were married to: Diego Rivera and Jackson Pollack, respectively.
Discover how Kahlo told the dramatic story of her life in amazing paintings. Then create your own picture story that tells a memory in your life in an imaginative way. Attend in the library or from your home over Zoom. Library participants will be given all necessary art supplies.
If participating from home on Zoom, plain paper, pencils and colored pencils or even crayons can be used. Zoom participants will receive the Zoom link on the day of the program.
