Description

Why are dinosaurs different from other animals? What happened to the dinosaurs? What did dinosaurs eat? What is a fossil? Explore the prehistoric world with miSci during this virtual Zoom program as you learn how to identify dinosaurs while creating your very own dino-fossils.

Registration begins Saturday, March 20. The evening prior to the event, participants will receive an email with a link to our Zoom Meeting and you may join in at 10am on Tuesday by computer, tablet or cellphone.  

*NOTE -- The following supplies will be needed for this program!  You will also receive an email with activity sheets that you can print out at home, or arrange to pick up at the library if needed. 

Materials Needed:

  • 2 medium/large Ziplock bags
  • 3 Leaves
  • 3 Rocks
  • Pencil
  • Cup
  • Play doh
  • Dinosaur toy, a shell or other object to make a fossil with
  • Chocolate chip cookie
  • 2 toothpicks
  • magnifying glass (optional)
