Description
Step into the strange side of medical history! Discover bizarre and sometimes downright creepy “cures” once used in pharmacy and medicine. Watch how pharmacists compounded pills from 1750-1925 using a pill roller and how the first “capsules” were made with a cachet machine. See a variety of pharmacy artifacts from the 1800s.
Lee Anna Obos, RPh is the curator of the Throop Pharmacy Museum and an instructor at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Take a look at the The Throop Museum.
You’ll never look at medicine the same way again! Please register.
