POSTPONED-The Swing Era was a vibrant and significant moment in our cultural history.  What did this Era look like in the Capital District?  Join Michael Catoggio as he answers this question.  Great historical photos, and unique stories will reveal a rich, local experience.  Step into the contemporary clubs and meet the local musicians who brought this Era to Albany and Rensselaer counties. 

This site shares the research findings of the site's authors - Bill Schilling and Michael Catoggio. They have been engaged in research on the Swing Era in the greater Albany area for approximately four years.

The purpose of their project is a to learn, organize and share information about music in the Swing Era in our area. They've had a particular interest in the local musicians who contributed to this significant cultural moment.
