THIS EVENT IS FULL FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES.
This is a 5-session workshop that meets on Tuesdays at 2:00-4:00 PM. The first session will be held at the East Greenbush Community Library and all other sessions will be held on Zoom.
The aim of the workshop is to bring forth stories from the participants and shape them using vivid concrete language. A colorful past is not required, as every life, carefully observed, has tremendous value. Memoir writing in general will be discussed with examples from literature. Participants will do writing activities in the workshop that they may enlarge during the week.
Susannah Risley, a writer who lives in Schenectady, will lead the group. She has over 20 years’ experience facilitating writing workshops in NYS libraries, as well as homeless shelters, prisons, and nature preserves.
