Creating Art Through Words & Images

How do artists find inspiration? In this hands-on workshop, we will discuss the practical matter of creating a conceptual art form. Then we will create our own stories by using combinations of images and phrases. We will work on the concept: what does "home" meant to you?

Bring in a few small pieces of memorabilia: photos, tickets, stamps, letters, labels, etc…that will be used to inform your vision of home and inspire your work. We will supply everything else that you will need.

Shumon Ahmed is an international media installation artist, photographer and poet whose work has been exhibited in various galleries, festivals and screenings worldwide, notably Vienna, Sydney, London, Dhaka, and New York City. Shumon currently has an installation at the Saratoga train station.
