Program Description

Description

Bring a blanket, bring a chair and sit on our lawn to watch the eclipse! Please bring your own eclipse glasses as we will have only a limited number of eclipse glasses to give away.

At 2pm on a first-come, first-served basis, we will give away our limited number of eclipse glasses, while supplies last. No registration needed.

Eclipse begins at 2:12pm, maximum local coverage at 3:26pm, eclipse ends at 4:36pm.

Attendance is voluntary, with attendees acknowledging and accepting associated risks, releasing the library from liability. WARNING: Looking directly at the sun is unsafe, particularly during a solar eclipse, which poses a risk of permanent eye damage and potential blindness. Sunglasses do not provide sufficient protection. Always use proper solar eclipse glasses (ISO 12312-2 compliant), ensuring filters are intact and not scratched or loose from cardboard frames.
