Odyssey to New York: The Greek Immigrant Journey:

In the early 1900s, waves of immigrants arrived and quickly learned that fitting into the New World wasn’t easy. To help fellow Greeks navigate it, Nicholas Calamaras founded and ran the Greek-American League—right out of his candy shop—to fight for Greek political and economic interests.

Learn the surprising story of the discovery of the archive of the Greek-American League and how it was found right under his nose by his son Dean.

Dean G. Calamaras is a New York City native, HVCC retired economics professor, and researcher of Greek and Polish history. He lives with his family in the Capital District.
