Welcome to the 6th Annual Day Before the Awards Film Festival, hosted by local Film Critic, Jim Dixon (East Greenbush Community Library only). We have a fantastic line-up this year! 4 films total – 3 at the East Greenbush Community Library and 1 at the Rensselaer Public Library. Registration is required for each film and can be completed online, in-person or by calling the East Greenbush Community Library Circulation Desk at 518-477-7476. 

Film Synopsis of "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" (Rated PG)

Maleficent travels to a grand old castle to celebrate young Aurora's upcoming wedding to Prince Phillip. While there, she meets Aurora's future mother-in-law -- a conniving queen who hatches a devious plot to destroy the land's fairies. Hoping to stop her, Maleficent joins forces with a seasoned warrior and a group of outcasts to battle the queen and her powerful army.
