Description
An atmospheric noir film, Double Indemnity is the story of an insurance representative who is seduced by a dissatisfied housewife into a scheme of insurance fraud and murder that arouses the suspicion of his colleague, a claims investigator.
Barbara Stanwyck, in one of her most celebrated performance, stars as married woman, Phyllis Dietrichson, Fred MacMurray, as skirt-hungry insurance man, Walter Neff, steps out of his typical "good guy" image.
