DBA Film Festival: Parasite (Rated R)

Welcome to the 6th Annual Day Before the Awards Film Festival, hosted by local Film Critic, Jim Dixon (East Greenbush Community Library only). We have a fantastic line-up this year! 4 films total – 3 at the East Greenbush Community Library and 1 at the Rensselaer Public Library.

Registration is required for each film and can be completed online, in-person or by calling the East Greenbush Community Library Circulation Desk at 518-477-7476. 

Film Synopsis of "Parasite" (Rated R)

Nominated for 6 Awards including Best Picture

This film follows the members of a poor household scheming to become employees of a much wealthier family by posing as unrelated, highly qualified individuals. Soon greed and class discrimination threaten this relationship.

Tickets for all movies shown at the East Greenbush Community Library will be picked-up on the day of the event ONLY.

3:30pm: Regular check-in time

3:50pm: Movie introduction

3:55pm: Showing begins

6:00pm: Q&A Session begins
