Welcome to the 6th Annual Day Before the Awards Film Festival, hosted by local Film Critic, Jim Dixon (East Greenbush Community Library only). We have a fantastic line-up this year! 4 films total – 3 at the East Greenbush Community Library and 1 at the Rensselaer Public Library.

Registration is required for each film and can be completed online, in-person or by calling the East Greenbush Community Library Circulation Desk at 518-477-7476. 

Film Synopsis of "Harriet" (Rated PG-13)

Nominated for 2 Awards including Best Actress

From her escape from slavery through the dangerous missions she led to liberate hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad, the story of heroic abolitionist Harriet Tubman is told.

Tickets for all movies shown at the East Greenbush Community Library will be picked-up on the day of the event ONLY.

Schedule:

9:30am: Early bird check-in for all 3 movies shown at the East Greenbush Community Library

12:45pm: Regular check-in time

1:00pm: Doors open for "Harriet"

1:05pm: Movie introduction

1:10pm: Showing begins

3:10pm: Q&A Session begins
