Program Description

Description

Across America in Time and Place takes listeners on a musical journey through American history and across the country, from the era of sailing ship, to trains, to automobiles and to airplanes. Along the way, we’ll  pause for snapshots of American life—from early ballads, railroad and frontier songs to music that spoke up for workers, peace, and civil rights. The program blends traditional folk tunes, historical protest songs, and period originals into a fun musical potpourri. Between songs, you’ll hear short stories and bits of history that add a little extra flavor to the music.

Accompanying themselves on 6 and 12 string acoustic guitars, banjo, and harmonica, the Delmariners (Phil Teumim and Will Vail) bring history to life with the vibe of a coffeehouse-style concert.

When not Delmarinating, Will is Senior Services Outreach Coordinator for the Town of Bethlehem and Phil is a retired engineer and management consultant. He is also a board member and former President of Old Songs, Inc.
