Bid Opening - EGCL Roof Project

Sealed bids for the roof project will be received at East Greenbush Community Library until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27 and then publicly opened and read aloud.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of East Greenbush Community Library, 10 Community Way, East Greenbush,
NY 12061 until 2:00 PM local time on March 27th, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud for;
East Greenbush Community Library – Roof Renovations

Your bid is to be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to East Greenbush Community Library, Attn: Jill Dugas
Hughes and clearly marked: Bid – EGCL Roof Renovations and identified with the bidder's name and address. Emailed
bids will not be accepted
 

Contract Structure

• Bid will be received for a Single Prime Contract – Roofing
• The roofing contractor shall serve as the Prime Contractor and shall include in the Base Bid all labor,
  materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals trades required to complete the Work as shown in the
  Contract Documents, including but not limited to:
  • EPDM roofing systems and flashings, including demolition of existing conditions
  • Permanent roof ladder, Roof hatch and ladder
  • Minor electrical work (heat trace removal/reinstallation, exhaust fan disconnect/reconnect)
  • Roof Drain replacement (if Alternate is accepted)
  • Miscellaneous carpentry and structural steel as required to complete the work as shown in the
    contract documents.
  • Temporary protections and phasing required to maintain library operations
  • The Owner will not hold separate contracts for electrical, plumbing, or general construction

Project shall commence immediately upon issuance of the Notice of Award. A mutually agreedupon
project schedule will be established with the Vendor, with a targeted completion date of the
end of May.

Bids will be received on a lump sum basis. The Owner reserves the right to review and negotiate bid prices with any
or all Bidders.

Bids received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified may be rejected, notwithstanding that
such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient
time to have been delivered on time.

A non- mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 11th at 10:00 AM at the site:

A complete electronic set of Bidding and Contract Documents will be forwarded to Bidders after March 4th
Additional sets of Bidding and Contract Documents must be made by Bidders for their own use.
