Crafts are back at the library! Do you have the desire to get crafting, but don't have the time to do a whole big project? To fulfill that wish we will be making "Artist Trading Cards". If you aren't ready to sit and craft along with us, you can register for the event, come in and pick out some materials to take home.
What are artist trading cards?
Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5" but we will bend the rules to suit ourselves. Stamps, sheet music, wrapping and scrapbook papers, buttons, charms, can all be part of these tiny masterpieces.
How do I create ATCs?
The ATCs are open to any media, materials or techniques. Watercolors, markers, colored pencils, and an assortment of papers will be available for you to play with the format. You can bring along small photos, buttons, papers or pictures (under 2" x 3") to include in the art. You may leave with a few new creations!
