Description
April is Amateur Radio Month and the East Greenbush Amateur Radio Association plans to offer handouts and other materials about the Amateur Radio hobby and its public service to the community. In addition, the club plans to set up and operate an Amateur Radio station to allow local residents to see and operate the station to experience the hobby first hand.
In particular, this outreach event also seeks to engage young people, as Amateur Radio incorporates the elements of STEM education -- Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
