Tutor Training Workshop Session

Our tutor training module workshop prepares volunteers to provide free tutoring to Basic Literacy Learners and/or English Language Learners.
Participants will learn how to tutor adults using an interactive and learner-centered whole language approach. Upon completion, tutors will be paired with students to begin providing two hours of one-to-one or small group instruction per week for a minimum of one year. Become a partner in building a literate community!
A $35 materials fee is asked. Scholarships are available for eligible participants. A one hour volunteer opportunities information session is helpful to attend prior to enrolling in the tutor training workshop series.
