The "Mayor's Garden" History of the Ten Broeck Mansion & Gardens

This presentation shares the history of the 1798 Ten Broeck Mansion and its grounds and its connections to Albany and regional history.  From exploring the many plants imported from around the world to museum collections reflecting our region's place in a global economy, this program shares how relevant the history of this historic site is to our region. The Ten Broeck Mansion, operated by the Albany County Historical Association as a community-centered museum and gardens, has been open to the public for 75 years.

Presentation by Kathryn Kosto, Executive Director, Albany County Historical Association. An artist and formerly the museum curator of the Craigie-Longfellow Historic Site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Kathryn Kosto has researched and presented on art history, family history, and garden history locally and nationally.
