Dorothy Raymond, President, NYS African Violet Society, presents "African Violet Basics"

This program will cover the basics of caring for African violets in the home, repotting, and propagation by leaf. Participants will learn about placement in the home, recommended light levels, potting soil, watering, and fertilization. There will be demonstrations of repotting an African violet with some tips and tricks to make the process easier, and propagation through leaf cuttings to create more of these beautiful houseplants. A limited number of African Violet leaves and starter plants will be available for sale after the presentation. All plant sale proceeds benefit the NYS African Violet Society.

Garden Club meeting begins at 6:00, program begins at 6:30.
