Jackson Murphy is an Emmy-winning film critic, producer, and host. Murphy is a member of the Critics Choice Association and SAG-AFTRA. He is film critic for WRVE/99.5FM The River, and his reviews appear on Lights-Camera-Jackson.com and Cultjer.com. Jackson is also lead animation reporter for AnimationScoop.com and the voice of the Hollywood & Malta Drive-Ins. Since 2014, Murphy has served as host/curator of Monthly Movie Night at the East Greenbush Community Library and he founded the Day Before the Awards Film Festival in 2015. In 2018 Jackson was honored with the Upper Hudson Library System "Volunteer of the Year" Award.

Jim Dixon is a writer, film critic and historian. A member of the Online Film Critics Society, he contributes regularly to FilmInquiry.com and his own website, Jim-Dixon.com. He admits to being old enough to have seen black and white movies in the theaters, although most of them were talkies. Jim (and his lovely wife Susan) have been a part of the Day Before the Awards Film Festival since its inception in 2015.
