Description

The goal of Civics 101 is to give you the basic information about our government, ranging from the Federal government to local government.  It will help you make informed decisions when you vote and take other actions to participate fully in our democratic society.

Richard F Hamm, while born in the Bronx, grew up in Florida.  He holds a doctorate in History from the University of Virginia and has taught at University at Albany — SUNY since 1990.  He is a SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor and the author of books and articles, with his most recent being Confronting Racism: Arthur Garfield Hays and the Fight for Equality, 1925-1954
